History of M.A.C Cosmetics
In 1984, two guys with the name "Frank" founded the original MAC Cosmetics in Toronto, Canada. Their full names are Frank Toskan and Frank Angelo. The name "M.A.C." in MAC Cosmetics was originally an acronym for "Makeup Art Cosmetics". In 1991, they opened the first MAC store in the United States in Greenwich Village, New York. The original inspiration for the makeup company was to open a company geared towards professional makeup artists worldwide. Now though, the MAC Cosmetics line is sold to makeup enthusiasts worldwide.
In 1994, Estée Lauder Companies acquired controlling interest of
MAC Cosmetics. After 4 years, Estée Lauder Companies completed their acquisition of MAC Cosmetics. In 1997, one of the original founders, Frank Angelo died due to complications during surgery.
MAC PRO Program
The MAC PRO Program is provided to professionals in the industry. A MAC PRO membership application is required along with two forms of professional identification. The application is mailed and approved by a MAC PRO representative. A credit card or debit card is required during the application process and if approved you will be billed the full annual fee amount as the annual fee must be paid for this service. Cosmetic professionals and students receive discounts on purchases.

MAC Face Chart. The original designs created by MAC Cosmetics artists from around the globe range from clowns and ghouls to Batgirl and Spiderwoman. The MAC Cosmetics web site provides Mac Face Charts as well as the ability to order products and print out your desired look Artists will also help customers try out the looks. One can usually download MAC Face Chart in PDF format from
www.maccosmetics.com, but the company quickly removes those to make room for new, future MAC Face Charts/collections. So, as an archive, there are many
MAC Face Charts floating around the web for download, but we have located one place online that has pretty much ALL of the
